Edith is Consultant Director of the Archive of Performances of Greek and Roman Drama (APGRD) at Oxford University, which she co-founded with Oliver Taplin in 1996.

In 1992 Edith was rehearsal consultant and wrote the programme essay for John Buller's operatic setting of Euripides' Bacchae at the English National Opera.

In March 2002 Edith was rehearsal consultant and wrote the programme essay for Bacchae at the National Theatre, directed by Peter Hall. She also appeared as speaker on a National Theatre platform with Colin Teevan on 20th May 2003.
